A Summer Day By The Sea

The sun is set; and in his latest beams

Guisi Clearwater Resort, April 2010

Guisi Clearwater Resort, April 2010

Yon little cloud of ashen gray and gold,

Alobijod Cove, April 2010

Alobijod, April 2010

Slowly upon the amber air unrolled,

Guisi,April 2010

The falling mantle of the Prophet seems.

Guisi,  April 2010

Guisi, April 2010

From the dim headlands many a light-house gleams,

Guisi, April 2011

The street-lamps of the ocean;and be behold,

Guisi, April 2011

Guisi, April 2011

O'erhead the banner of the night unfold;

Guisi, April 2011

The day hath passed into the land of dreams.

Guisi Lighthouse, April 2011

O summer day beside the joyous sea!

Alobijod August 2017

Alobijod, August 2017

O summer day so wonderful and white,

Alobijod, August 2017

So full of gladness and so full of pain!

Guisi, May 2018

Forever and forever shalt thou be

Alobijod, April 2018

To some the gravestone of a dead delight,

Guisi, May 2018

Guisi, May 2018

To some the landmark of a new domain.

Island Province of Guimaras : Rustic Yet Tranquil

Guimaras is only fifteen (15) minutes away from the coast of Iloilo , so it's easy to get there via Jordan - the gateway to this small island province.  With sights like Alobijod Cove , Guisi Lighthouse, San Lorenzo Windmills, not to mention  food like sweet mangoes - the island province has much to come back to.

When one asks, " where can I find the sweetest manngoes? " , the answer would be Guimaras.  Yet Guimaras is not just about mangoes. It's an eco-tourism hub for outdoor lovers, backpackers, bikers, soul-searchers, etc. Its white sand beaches, rustic structures and rugged terrain are perfect for outdoor adventure.

Since the first time I came to this island more than a decade ago, I was mesmerized by its rustic yet tranquil charm. And I kept coming back since then.
